Most people don't upgrade their phone for a faster chip anymore. They upgrade because the battery is dead by 6 pm. The realme P4 Pro 5G attacks that problem directly with a 7,000mAh battery. What makes it interesting is that it doesn't feel like a power bank: it's 7.68mm thin and weighs 189g.

The mid-ranger to buy if battery life comes first
A huge battery, a big fast AMOLED and a capable Snapdragon chip in a slim body make the P4 Pro one of the easiest recommendations around ₹25k–₹31k. Pick a higher-storage variant if you keep phones for 3+ years.
What we like
- 7,000mAh battery in a 7.68mm, 189g body
- 6.8" curved AMOLED up to 144Hz
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 — smooth daily performance and casual gaming
- 50MP Sony IMX896 main camera with OIS + 50MP selfie
Keep in mind
- 8MP ultra-wide is a step down from the main camera
- IP65/IP66 — splash and jet resistant, not submersion-rated like IP68
- Curved screens aren't for everyone

Design: slim despite the battery
Fitting 7,000mAh into a 7.68mm body is the P4 Pro's headline achievement. The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with a curved edge. The variant we bought comes in a wood-texture “Birch Wood” finish, which stands out in a sea of glossy glass backs. The IP65/IP66 rating covers dust and water jets (think rain and spills), but not submersion.
Display: 6.8-inch curved AMOLED up to 144Hz
The screen is big, sharp (2800 × 1280, about 453 PPI) and fast. It switches between 60, 90, 120 and 144Hz, so it can save power on static content and go smoother in supported games. The curved edges look premium and make swipe gestures feel natural. If you've had accidental touches on curved phones before, try one in a store first.
Performance: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is a solid upper-mid-range chip. Social apps, multitasking, UPI payments, navigation and casual-to-moderate gaming should all run smoothly. It isn't in the same class as the flagship chip in the vivo X200T, but for most users the difference shows up in heavy gaming and video exports, not everyday use. It ships with realme UI 6.0 on Android 15.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with OIS. Optical stabilisation is the spec that matters most for sharp night shots and steady video. It's paired with an 8MP ultra-wide, which is the weaker of the two, as is usual at this price. On the front is a 50MP selfie camera, which is great news for video calls and creators.

Battery and charging
This is why you buy this phone. 7,000mAh is roughly 40% more capacity than the typical 5,000mAh phone, so heavy users get a comfortable full day and lighter users can often stretch to two. It supports fast wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. That lets you top up earbuds or a friend's phone with a cable in a pinch.
Who should buy the realme P4 Pro 5G?
- Buy it if battery life is your top priority and you want a big, fast AMOLED screen at a mid-range price.
- Buy it if you're a student or a heavy social media and video user who's away from a charger all day.
- Skip it if you want flagship-level cameras or performance. Step up to the vivo X200T.
- Skip it if you dislike curved screens.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the realme P4 Pro battery last?
With 7,000mAh, it's built for heavy users. Most people should comfortably get through a full day of heavy use, and lighter users can often stretch to two days. We'll publish measured results from our own unit in the long-term section.
Is the realme P4 Pro waterproof?
It's rated IP65/IP66, which protects against dust, splashes and water jets. It isn't rated for submersion like IP68 phones, so keep it out of pools and buckets.
Which realme P4 Pro variant should I buy?
8GB/128GB is fine for light users. If you shoot lots of video, game, or plan to keep the phone 3+ years, pick 256GB. Storage fills faster than you expect.
realme P4 Pro or vivo X200T?
They're in different leagues on price. The vivo X200T is a flagship with a much faster chip, triple 50MP cameras and IP68/IP69. The P4 Pro gives you a bigger battery and a great screen for less than half the money. If your budget is under ₹35k, the P4 Pro is the smarter buy.
